It is un-defatted and freeze-dried to retain all naturally occurring nutrients. Undeffatted varieties preserve the naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) that are present.

The average amount of naturally occurring vitamin A content of beef liver powder is about 150mcg per 300mg. Though this is only an estimate, actual amounts may vary from batch to batch.
Aside from beef liver, spirulina is one of the richest sources of naturally occurring copper. It is also rich in other B vitamins and minerals. The natural ratios of nutrients in whole-food sources provide a synergistic effect that can’t be replicated by isolated, synthetic nutrients.
Studies have shown that turmeric is a potent chelator that binds to unbound (non-bioavailable) iron in the blood and makes it non-reactive.
Copper bysglycinate is essentially copper 0 (or neutral). A molecule of glycine is attached to the lone electrons of copper II, effectively neutralizing their charge and allowing for passive entry into the gastrointestinal cells (source). This form of copper offers superior bioavailability as it does not need to be accompanied by reducing or oxidizing agents to exchange electrons prior to being absorbed.
This is true for poorly sourced spirulina. Some sources come from contaminated water. We use Hawaiian spirulina, Arthrospira platensis, which is a clean and trusted form. Spirulina grown in contaminated water often contains heavy metals. Clean sourcing ensures it is not laced with heavy metals. Additionally, we perform third-party testing on ingredients before and after producing our products to ensure they are free of heavy metals and toxins. You should always consult a healthcare professional regarding your unique concerns. The average amount of oxalates in 100g of turmeric is 1,969mg (source). We use 100mg of turmeric in Recuperate IQ, which is equivalent to 0.0197mg of oxalates or about 20 micrograms.

There is no RDA for boron; 20mg/ is considered to be a “high dose,” but studies show that at least 3 mg/d is needed to be effective.
